House Supervisor RN Opportunity

This full-time opportunity offers 36 hours per week, full benefits, and a Friday, Saturday, Sunday schedule.

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to children, adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our three outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression.

The House Supervisor is responsible for creating an environment of patient focused care by defining and achieving standards for quality patient care on assigned shift.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops work based teams and groups for assigned shift

  • Maintains patient flow as a priority responsibility through the following activities: promotes the timely input of bed status changes, coordinates the flow of admissions, discharges, and transfers during assigned shift.

  • Provides support to staff during the development, implementation, and utilization of patient care processes that impact the delivery of patient care services within the hospital.

  • Mentors staff and objectively evaluates and documents performance. Serves as a Preceptor for new employees and is responsible for staff orientation and onboarding.

  • Performs Quality Improvement investigations monthly as directed by the DON.

  • Actively involved in hiring, orientation, performance evaluation and disciplinary action of staff.

  • Provides onsite management of facility and all working staff in the absence of Senior Management for assigned shift.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited curriculum.

  • Active Florida State license as RN.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in nursing required. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience in psychiatric nursing or inpatient behavioral health preferred.

  • Ability to work a Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedule.
