Barilla Payroll Specialist in Parma, Italy

Following the head’s guidelines, in compliance with the regulations, the contracts in force and within the framework of the personnel policies defined by the Company, ensure the fulfilment of the administrative management processes of employees and assimilated staff and the elaboration of salaries, providing support to the colleagues of Personnel Administrations, including those of the Italian factories. Together with all the team, act as a centre of expertise for payroll and personnel administration’s topics by supporting all the HQ employees and partnering with the HRBP.

Main Responsibilities

Payroll management and salary adjustment • Ensure the correct management and processing of the payroll through the valorisation of fixed remuneration elements, variable ones and those linked to presence • Guarantee the correct determination and valorisation of salary items, including benefits due to employee with reference to administrative and payroll impacts; • Guarantee the correct allocation of expense funds and salary advances, ensuring their adequate management also from an accounting point of view; • Support the team on operational payroll activities (injury reports, data entry of sickness certificates, management of employment relationship events, etc.) and ensure the set of monthly payroll controls

Data Management • Ensure the updating of all the system data, guaranteeing the alignment of the HR core system (OneHR) and the payroll tool (E-Sipert)

Centre of expertise • Support and advice all employees on issues related to payslip and employment relationship (e.g. permits, illness, resignation, etc.) ensuring through an effective communication process the respect of internal policies.

Payroll system management • Coordinate the interventions of the consultants and verify compliance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs); • Analyse and organize reports of malfunctions and/or anomalies or change requests received from colleagues and open issue tickets through supplier's support service • Guarantee that the interventions carried out correspond to the requirements of the law and/or collective agreements through personnel administration colleagues (headquarters and Italian plants); • Ensure the function of focal point for the central Personnel Administration unit and the peripheral ones for all aspects related to the information systems in use including the Reporting module and the Self Service portal; • Monitor in/out data flows from/to other systems; • Perform massive data processing and updates; • Ensure the updating of system tables and parameters and other non-complex parameterisation activities; • Support Personal Administration users (central team and plants offices) in the correct use of the payroll system.

Labor accounting • Ensure the accounting bookings of the personnel accounts through the preparation of manual records and year-end assessments & statutory reportings.

Requirements

  • Operating Environment: The working context is complex and constantly evolving due to frequent regulatory, contractual and corporate adjustments which are intertwined with operations linked to respecting deadlines and the necessary support to be guaranteed on HR processes

  • Min experience (years): at least 2 years in HR Administration

  • Min education level (High School Diploma, GED, Bachelor, Master, PhD): Bachelor

  • Field of Studies: Law, Economics

  • Certifications (e.g.: languages):

Essential Skills / Competencies • Fluent English • Strong service orientation • Proactivity • Experience in managing deadlines • Basic accounting skills needed to manage aspects of labor accounting
