$35.80 – $56.50 / Hour

Expectations:
Performs both routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of a diverse range of clinical equipment, which may include life support. This position requires flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:Biomedical technology certification/diploma or Associate degree or higher in a related field.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Two to five years of related experience.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Preferred:Current Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification
SKILLS:Perform significant preventive maintenance/safety tests/calibration for medical equipment:– Performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and safety tests with limited supervision.– PM completion rate exceeds 90% for non-life support equipment.– PM completion rate achieves 100% for life support equipment.– Schedules PMs and informs the head of department in a timely fashion.– Documents entire procedure including follow-up on “delinquent devices” on a monthly basis.– Completes assignments monthly.– Performs safety inspections per HMH CT’s PMP procedures.– Based on the results of the test, makes the immediate necessary corrections.– Can explain to the customer in common terms the testing results and necessary corrections.
