Compensation Range:

$118,330.00 – $171,285.00 / Year

Expectations:

Under the supervision of the Director and Manager of Senior Care Network and with nursing oversight of the RN Director of Clinical Education, the SCN community nursing supervisor provides oversight to the nurses in the department and to the student nurses on rotation, develops and coordinates the activities of the 50+ Health Connection Membership Program and actively participates in community-based and related hospital initiatives. This position requires flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:BSN from an accredited college of nursing required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Minimum two years of experience in clinical nursing in a public health or community oriented setting, working with adults with chronic disease and/or disabilities. Experience working with older adults strongly preferred. At least three years experience providing clinical supervision, in a health care or social services setting, preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Required:Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Preferred:Current Public Health Certification (PHN)

SKILLS:Clinical assessment skills, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and professional network. Knowledge of issues of aging and disabilities.Flexible approach to dealing with issues, problems and change; strong clinical supervision, teamwork and team development skills.Computer skills including Microsoft Office or equivalent and ability to learn and utilize specialized software with training and support.
