Software Asset Management Analyst

Hybrid - Ortigas, Pasig City

Are you interested in working as a Software Asset Management Analyst? You will play a crucial role in managing software licenses throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation based on ITIL Software Asset Management practices. The Software Asset Management Analyst will also advise Information Services (IS) Delivery Areas and Grundfos business on licensing and software use rights.

What is the Job all about?

The Software Asset Management Analyst, positioned within the Software Asset Management Team, will oversee over 2400 commercial applications across roughly 20,000 devices globally, reporting to the Head of the CIO Office. The main collaborators for this role include Service Engagement Management, Contract Management, User Experience, Service Desk/Onsite Support, Delivery Area Managers, Operational Excellence & Analytics, Service Management Solutions, Security Management, Finance, Purchasing, and external software vendors.

This role will report directly to the Senior IT Manager and will be part of the CIO Office department. The role will be on a hybrid work arrangement and will report to Grundfos office in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Create analysis and license recommendation to support license expiry.

  • Monitor license usage and license allocation to mitigate risk.

  • Ensure and report license compliance on a regular basis by identifying and executing clean-up activities.

  • Implement harvesting activities on a regular basis.

  • Identify and report cost avoidance based on harvesting (Excel sheet in SharePoint).

  • Monitor Cloud- and Online Web Services (SaaS).

  • Ensure correct level of user access to Cloud- and Online Web Services (SaaS).

  • Assist in improving processes and procedures.

  • Handle requests in Service Management tool (ServiceNow).

  • Report updates to Service Engagement Consultant relevant to Solution Application Catalogue.

  • Gain knowledge in using FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), analyzing inventory data and file evidence.

  • Maintain accurate records of entitlement documentation e.g. invoice, delivery, license key, etc.

  • Monitor incoming license keys and inform stakeholders.

  • Provide license expertise and advisory to the organization re. license conditions, agreements, and rules.

  • Stay up to date with licensing models, Use Rights and Rules.

Your background:

  • Relevant education within IT

  • Experience with Software Asset Management or a Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

  • Proficient with English language – verbal and written.

  • Microsoft Office on super user level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
