V2X has an exciting opening for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer Lead to support the execution the HALO program in system engineering/ digital engineering.

Responsibilities

Major Job Responsibilities:

+ + Developing and using modeling and simulation tools to conduct, performance assessments and conceptual design studies of hypersonic missile systems

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating navigation, guidance, and control algorithms for various missile systems and components

  • Missile test and evaluation activities to include test operations and pre/post flight evaluations • Leading and contributing to analysis efforts

  • Collaboration with cross-discipline teams to advise government and contractor partners on engineering challenges and design limitations

  • Oversea operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

  • Producing reports and presentations to communicate results to team members and government partners

  • Coordinate mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities of new systems and architectures. Helping the Navy analyze costs against mission requirements, help develop operationally relevant mission scenarios, assess operational effectiveness of existing and emerging systems capabilities in representative operational environments.

  • Position is located in a secure office environment requiring the candidate to be onsite.

  • Position will require at least 25% travel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Experience:

  • 6+ years’ experience in Modeling and Simulation Systems of military weapons and/or aircraft systems.

  • Experience with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling)

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Research, analysis and creating assessments of threats

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, Java

  • Familiarity with AGILE, MBSE and/ or systems architecture

  • Other Requirement:

  • Requires Top-Secret clearance

  • Software:

  • AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling)

  • Technology:

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
