Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Cyber Mission Force (CMF) Team Leader (Cyber Engineer) to lead our Information Environment section supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC).

This facility supports the Test Resource Management Center s (TRMC) mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia and international partners.

The successful candidate will serve at the Patuxent River, Maryland site. This position is contingent upon award.

The CMF Team Leader is a critical position.

The candidate will supervise, direct, and manage all aspects of the CMF Support Operations. Primary responsibilities include ensuring CMF training and operations event design, requirements, processes, resources, schedules, and stakeholders are coordinated to deliver a wide variety of CMF Training and Operations events. The candidate is expected to support overall range operations beyond the scope of CMF events and ensure CMF Team support to program objectives and priorities. The position also evaluates, recommends, and implements range operations optimization tools and strategies; assesses, designs, and conceptualizes improved range operations scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools and other state-of-the-art technologies related to range operations requirements. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports recommending enterprise and site improvements. Serves as subject matter specialist providing CMF Training and Operations know-how for the support of user requirements developing, improving, and training CMF operators.

This position supports the program and all other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 14 Years with HS; 12 Years with AA; 10 Years with BS; 8 Years with MS; 6 Years with PhD

  • Candidates with Armed Forces college courses or Associate Degree, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

  • DoD 8570.01M/ IAM-II certification within 6 months of assignment to position (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))

  • Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance

  • Expert knowledge of CMF development practices and procedures

  • Expert knowledge of CMF operations planning and rehearsals

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, adaptable teams in high-OPTEMPO environments.

  • Demonstrated experience with CMF operations.

  • Master s Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity OR

  • Associates or Bachelor s degree in computer science, or engineering or its equivalent with 15 years relevant experience

  • High degree of organization and communications skills

  • Active, Reserve, or National Guard military service with network or cyber security experience

  • IAT level III (CISA, GSE, SCNA, GCIH, CISSP (or Associate)) or IAM Level III (GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $136620 - $232210

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
