We are seeking a(an) Mechanic III PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

Maintains, repairs, installs, removes, stop/start, trouble shoot and performs preventative maintenance. Maintains normal maintenance upkeep to a facility environment related to: Plumbing fixtures, electrical services, carpentry, painting, ceilings, etc. Work with little or no supervision.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Able to read, interpret and work from blue prints, diagrams, sketches etc.

2. Maintains and performs preventative maintenance on all fire protection systems (fire extinguishers, fire alarm, fire sprinklers, fire dampers, etc.)

3. Responsible for maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on buildings, plumbing system, electrical systems, communications, etc.

4. Responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of buildings, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, painting, etc.

5. Responsible for all components of a building and all other related duties.

6. Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.

7. Assist willingly all other Engineering Technicians as needed.

8. Uses good telephone courtesy (Identify Department and your name).

9. Assist willingly with moving furniture, boxes and heavy objects.

10. Adheres to Hospital and Department Policies and Procedures.

11. Participates in the monthly department meetings.

12. Assist in maintaining and taking inventory of supplies and stock as needed to insure your daily operation.

13. Responds to all emergency codes.

14. Responsible for insuring the facility environmental finishes are maintained.

15. Maintains the painted finishes of walls, doors, frame, etc. throughout the facility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - 2-5 years previous experience in commercial setting required; hospital setting preferred. Thorough knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, painting etc.

Education - High school diploma or equivalent required.

Special Qualifications - EPA certification preferred
