WHO YOU ARE AS A BUSINESS SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: Are you a driven business professional eager to work closely with employers and staff to create job postings that attract top talent across the Gulf Coast? WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Workforce Development Specialist II-III performs routine to complex (journey-level) employment work. Works under moderate to general supervision withlimited to moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

AS A SERVICE COORDINATOR, YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Welcome customers to Workforce Solutions and determine the best way to serve based on their needs. -Build rapport with customers through a friendly and professional demeanor. -Assist customers in accessing resources, services, and events within the career office and the community. -Provide job search assistance and referrals to employment opportunities and community resources. -Offer professional resume, networking, and interviewing guidance. -Facilitate Workforce Solutions seminars. -Assist customers patiently, even in challenging situations. -Support customers with using computers and equipment. -Share current local labor market information. -Perform other assigned duties.

AS A CAREER ADVISOR, YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Record, process, and perform data entry for program services. -Interview customers to record work history, skills, and abilities. -Explain services, provide information, counsel, and answer questions. -Take detailed job orders reflecting employer requirements. -Maintain orders and customer files. -Collaborate with the team to meet office goals and provide quality service. -May deliver group and individual workshops and training sessions. -Perform other assigned duties.

AS A BUSINESS SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Assist employers in creating and amending job postings. -Build positive relationships with employers. -Enter job postings within established timeframes and quality standards. -Ensure job postings are clear and concise to attract qualified candidates. -Maintain accurate information in internal and external Workforce systems. -Provide additional services and information to employers. -Perform other assigned duties.

YOU QUALIFY WITH: -WDS II: Two years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; direct social work; eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs and customer service. Six months of f ll-time in-service experience classified as a Workforce Development Specialist I with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications. -WDS III: Three year of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; instruction, demonstration,and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; directsocial work; eligibility determination; customer service; or workforcedevelopment issues and programs. One year of full-time in-service experience classified as a WorkforceDevelopment Specialist II with regular status will satisfy theminimum qualifications. -Both Levels: Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may besubstituted for each six months of experience.
