Thompson Engineering is looking for a Senior Technical Advisor for Transportation/Roadway Design t o join our team in Auburn, AL.
Job Summary (Description):
This position requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in transportation design and operations. Requires working knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and best practices. Requires national experience in their subject area and proven experience in business development, client presentations, and building and maintaining client relationships. Requires demonstrated experience in development and delivery of training at the post-secondary level of education (ie, colleges, universities, tech schools) in their areas of expertise. Requires the ability to train and develop their team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Functions/ Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and advice on transportation/roadway design and operations.
Provide specialized knowledge in transportation systems, infrastructure, design, and project management utilized in effective client development, client retention, and client satisfaction.
Address complex issues related to transportation systems, infrastructure, design, and project management, proposing effective solutions.
Provide guidance and serve as an in-house resource to team members to enhance their skills in transportation systems, infrastructure, design, and project management to include developing and/or providing training.
Coordinate with Clients, Professional Organizations, Colleges, and other post-secondary education facilities to be a mentor to our industry in transportation design.
Minimum Qualifications
4-yr degree in engineering
Professional Engineer Licensure (PE)
Minimum 15 years' experience
