Aerotek Electronic Test Technician in Perry, Ohio

Description:

Electronics Test Technician

Pay: $24.05/HR

Shift: 1st Shift - 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (M-Th) - Some OT Friday

Typical Day:

  • Perform testing, analysis, troubleshooting and rework and repair of electronic circuit boards

  • Conduct failure analysis and diagnose issues with boards - troubleshoot and repair

  • Assist engineering with development of functional test equipment set up and engineering changes related to equipment

  • Test, troubleshoot, rework and repair assigned assemblies

  • Complete test equipment setup and demonstrate knowledge of analog and digital testing equipment.

  • Use proper circuit board and material handling practices to prevent damage

  • Follow appropriate procedures to document board failures

  • Identify and operate electronic test equipment, to include (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)

  • Perform test equipment repairs and enhancements

  • Ability to read and understand electronics schematics / drawings and basic work instructions

  • Follow test procedures and recognize electronic values, such as volts, amps, ohms, farads

MUST HAVES:

  • 3+ years' experience in the electronics manufacturing field

  • 1+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards

  • 1+ years' experience soldering

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit board prints and drawings

  • Experience with electronic test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, etc.)

**Troubelshooting test equipment specifically is a large PLUS

**J Standard Cert. is a huge PLUS but not required for level 3

**IPC Knowledge / Cert. is a huge PLUS but not required for level 3
