Abbott National Sales Manager in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

National Sales Manager is responsible for direction setting and leading his/her team to execute all business and multifunctional processes for his/her channel. This is achieved personally, and through the management of others, selling and executing JBP & scorecard that delivers winning brand presence at all stores within his/her channel through perfect execution of sales fundamentals for our brands in stewardship compliant manner.

The National Sales Manager is accountable for the following for his/her assigned channel:

  • Deliveringbusiness:Sales,sharegrowth,spending effectiveness, sales fundamentalsand organization development in his/herchannel

  • Ensuresuperiorexecution of initiativesacrosscustomerswithin channel as perguidelines

  • Laying downtherightexecution & marketdesign plans to achieveMarketShareLeadership with thechannel/customers

  • Proactivelyproviding therightenablers tohis/herteamand busting thebarriers to helpthemachieve the setobjectives

  • Lead customerspecificunderstanding/businessinsights & analysis and integrateintobusinessplans

  • Lead ideation and execution of Go-To-Market(GTM)reinventionwithhis/herchannel/customerportfolio

  • Planning thecareer of his/herdirectreportsandmanaging thesalaryplansbasistheirperformance

  • Building thecapability of his/herdirectreports

  • Demonstrating stewardship across businessprocesses / reporting

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Winning With Customers

  • Lead customerengagement with his/hercustomers. Establish JBP & scorecard with customers

  • Coach KAMs on JBPpreparation

  • Sell,secureandreviewprojectresourcing fromCustomers & internalkey stakeholders to deliver the agreedJBPforcustomers in his/her region

  • Demonstratestewardshipand build thecapability of theteamacross all key action areas –

  • businessand fundamentalsreporting.

  • Create finaldemand forecastfor all units within his/her region and share with demand planner

  • Reviewsupplyplansperiodicallyand ensuresufficiencytodelivervolume & value targets

Deliver Winning In-store Fundamentals

  • Lead customermeetingsto review the business,understand theresults of current month(what’sworking/not), out-monthsplans/prioritiesand deploy to the teamto ensurebusinessandfundamental delivery

  • In-marketdemonstration,deliveryand review of keymonthlypriorities, in markettraining and audits.

  • Identifiesthekeydriversand theopportunitiestogrowexternally and developstheplan to achievethesame

  • Worksinternallytoprovidetherightinputfromthe market to theCommercial Operations andChannelleaders so that effectiveplansaredesignedto meettheneeds of thebusiness.

Perfect Execution

  • Create,communicate,align & reviewdifferentiatedchannelsplans, as neededfor JBP sufficiency, with trademarketing

  • Execute all channelplan withexcellenceby ensuring excellentdeployment of all theprogramto the MFTand retailoperationsteam toexecute with excellence

  • WorkswithinternalkeystakeholderstoprovidetherightinputfromtheField Sales totrademarketing

GTM

  • Plan and executequality coverageplan for his/hercustomers

  • Lead theteam todeliverGTMdesigned for thechannel

Organization Development

  • Assess skill gaps and coachesteam on the identifiedopportunityareas

  • Work plan(priorities) & development plan withdirectreports, with inputsfromTradesales director

  • NSM as talent council in Sales leadership team.Responsible & plans the career of his/herteambyidentifying assignments that would leverage their strengths and setthem up forsuccess

  • Designsthelong-termsalaryplans of histeamfollowingtheprinciple of meritocracy
