Responsibilities
Program Director- OTP
The OTP Program Director/Sponsor provides leadership and oversight of the Opioid Treatment Program and is responsible for ensuring the overall clinical integrity and financial viability of the program. Responsibilities include direct supervision and management of all clinic staff and operations. The program director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program. The program Director/Sponsor is responsible for the operation of the opioid treatment program and who assumes responsibility for all its employees, including any practitioners, agents, or other persons providing medical, rehabilitative, or counseling at the program at any of its medication units. The program sponsor is responsible for ensuring the program is in continuous compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Day to day business operations and management of the program
Overall administrative oversight of all program operations
Supervise staff in compliance with Federal and State regulations, and assist in planning, interpreting, and implementing program protocol
Develop communication mechanisms that provide interested parties with general information about the program
May cover caseloads on a temporary basis in emergency situations
Actively recruits for all clinic staff
Responsible for accurate daily accounting of all cash transactions and daily accounting of methadone/suboxone inventory at the clinic
Monitor all clinic staff and contract labor in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local, state and federal authorities as necessary
Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained
Provide quarterly quality assurance reviews
Develop group session schedule for counseling staff to further strengthen the client's bond with the clinic
Educate clients on aspects of treatment
Actively participate in community relations activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
At least 3 years of work experience providing clinical care services to people with substance use disorders
At least 3 years of experience in administration or programmatic supervision in human services.
Must have one of the following licenses in VA: LSATP, CSAC, RN, LPN
