Job Summary

Responsible for promoting use of industry and Company technology standards. Monitors emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the company. Designs and develops updated infrastructure in support of one or more business processes. Helps to ensure a balance between tactical and strategic technology solutions. Considers business problems "end-to-end": including people, process and technology, both within and outside the enterprise, as part of any design solution. Mentors, reviews codes and verifies that the object oriented design best practices and that coding and architectural guidelines are adhered to. Identifies and drives issues through closure.

The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology and our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience.

About the Team / Role:

Having successfully introduced the Syndication of Video, Broadband, Voice, and Home Security and Automation to MVPDs (Multichannel Video Programming Distributors) in North America, this role will lead Comcast’s Broadband and in home syndication team’s effort to expand our product offering further to include Global Operators and MVPDs looking for greater flexibility for their broadband and in home connectivity customers.

Our long-term vision is the integration of video, data, and voice, as well as home monitoring and control services to create seamless innovative customer experiences. Sales Engineering is a critical function enabling this long-term vision for its Global Syndication Partners both current and future. This is a leadership role to spearhead the development and establishment of our critical sales engineering practice, setting the foundation for excellence and growth.

The candidate will design and develop updated broadband and connectivity solutions to convert leads to prospects to sales and helps to ensure a balance between customer’s needs and strategic technology solutions. A successful candidate will promote use of industry and company technology standards, monitors emerging technology and practices for potential use to create new services, products, and syndication opportunities. Considers business problems "end-to-end": including people, process, and technology.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of relevant broadband technologies and industry trends.

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Aptitude for comprehending customer needs and the ability to architect solutions accordingly.

  • Ability to identify and understand customer problems and propose solutions.

  • Capacity to deliver engaging and persuasive presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and apply emerging technologies.

  • Familiarity with market trends and competitive landscape to enhance the position of our product.

What You’ll Do:

  • Understand global customer’s broadband and in home connectivity needs and help develop services, solutions, and products.

  • Interact and influence executive leadership teams across Comcast and partner organizations on product segmentation and solutions.

  • Ensures proposals are designed, developed, and implemented to meet business needs.

  • Interfaces with the Broadband product team and other functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs.

  • Ensures connectivity solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.

  • Explains benefits of products and services as part of proposal process to prospective customers and describe position against competition.

  • Work closely with Sales organization to develop planning and execution strategy.

  • Monitors current and future trends in broadband, technology and information that will feed new opportunities, applies, and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing products.

  • Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation practices

  • Contributes to the overall product implementation strategy and participates in appropriate forums, meetings, presentations to meet goals.

  • Gathers and understands customer needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business processes, defines solution approaches and develops technology proposals.

  • Monitors the program lifecycle from intake through delivery. Ensures the entire solution design is complete and consistent from the start and seeks to remove as much re-work as possible.

  • Develops and communicates solution proposals and works with various teams to ensure alignment, obtain estimates, and create business case.
