DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position works under a rehabilitation manager to supervise clerical staff who provide clerical and office support to vocational rehabilitation counselors and supervisors as needed to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing work, developing and providing training, monitoring clerical workload, and conducting clerical meetings to discuss actions and rush projects or emergencies. This position also coordinates work schedules and oversees work for the reception desk, mail room, filing, and incoming phone calls.

Communication is key as this position coordinates office supply purchasing with a fiscal assistant, keeps supervisors informed of general office policies, and coordinates with administration and management regarding technical or policy problems and potential changes. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for Alternate Work Schedules (AWS).

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
