Reporting to the Assistant Dean, OPFRR, the Director works directly with the Department head to provide recruitment, retention. HR administration and other physician services within Temple Health (as assigned). Specifically, the Director will oversee and manage all clinical, non-faculty recruitment programs within the Office of Physician/Faculty Recruitment.  This portfolio includes the direct oversight of all non-faculty physicians hired under the Temple Faculty Physician umbrella, as well all physician recruitment for Temple Physicians Incorporated.  The Director will be responsible for preparing management/activity reports for all accounts in their portfolio, mentoring direct reports and contributing to the training and development of a relevant staff. Serve as a primary point of contact for physician and faculty candidates being recruited. The Director's availability includes weekends and evenings. Partners with Department Head to develop and execute effective, comprehensive search strategies for identifying qualified and diverse physician candidates for all search assignments within Temple Health including: clinical faculty positions at LKSOM, non-faculty positions, TPI clinical positions, TUH and TUP executive positions, LKSOM basic science positions. Strategies will include extensive outreach/ sourcing including professional networking, cold calling, generating and following-up on referrals, external advertising, and partnering with external search firms if necessary. Lead role in the planning, execution and oversight of recruitment related projects/ initiatives such as clinical/primary care recruitment strategies, strategic sourcing/outreach including inward/outward facing programs.  The Director will conduct searches as assigned each fiscal year in addition to the other responsibilities associated with this role. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Masters degree and four or more years related experience in the fields of Physician Recruitment and HR. A minimum of 5-10 years in a physician recruitment leadership role including the oversight of staff is strongly preferred.  Clinical and Basic Science leadership recruitment is also strongly preferred.  Search firm experience a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. HR and/or AAPPR certification strongly preferred. Required Skills & Abilities: *Must possess effective negotiation skills and closing expertise. *Ability to prioritize and manage departmental projects/recruitment priorities simultaneously. *Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with physician faculty, healthcare practitioners, and administration at all levels. *Customer service oriented which includes responding promptly to customer needs and requests in a timely manner. *Effective communication and facilitation skills *Effective use of a variety of candidate procurement methods such as direct sourcing, networking, diversity sourcing, professional organizations, internet/social media and referrals. *Proven experience building & maintaining candidate networks *S rategic thinking skills. *Excellent organization skills with attention to detail. *Knowledge of current trends within the physician recruitment/hiring industry. *Must be able to travel locally and nationally to attend professional career fairs, conventions and networking events. *Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Canva, ATS systems such as iCIMS preferred. This position requires a background check. This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
