Apply your writing and communications skills in a professional environment as a Communications Intern for summer 2024. In this position, you will have the opportunity to help share information on a range of vital subjects such as health, professional development, personal finance, and management.

The Communications Intern will gain valuable institutional communications experience and see campus life from a new perspective inside one of Penn’s key divisions. Use your developing knowledge in public relations, journalism, design, marketing, management, or psychology.

This is an excellent position for an individual who has strong writing and editing skills and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the publication of online newsletters and other publications

Assisting with the production of promotional media

Updating and editing web pages on www.hr.upenn.edu

Providing administrative support as required

Writing short articles

Designing promotional materials

Possible opportunity to work with web analytics and other data

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated interest in communications (for example: experience with student publications, coursework in English, Communications, Design, Marketing, or related subjects)

Proofreading and editing experience

Experience with content management systems or blogging applications such as WordPress or Drupal

MS Office proficiency

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Html and CSS experience preferred

Photography and video skills a plus

Pay Range

$7.25 - $15.00 Hourly Rate
