Job Summary

Comcast is seeking a Procurement Manager, to lead procurement activities related to Comcast’s Marketing scope. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders and executive management teams across the Group Marketing Business & Brand teams to develop innovative and industry-leading solutions to manage Comcast’s Marketing services ecosystem. The Marketing category includes Media, Agency, Creative/Production, Direct Mail/Print, Market Research, Promotions, and other subcategories. The Procurement Manager will work closely with stakeholders to manage the Marketing supplier landscape. This includes strategic alignment of stakeholders, business partner management and standardized agreements and rate cards negotiation. This role reports to the Director, Enterprise Procurement at Comcast. Candidates should possess strong category management, sourcing, and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. Direct knowledge and experience of working within Marketing function, marketing agency or supplier or Marketing procurement function of a large company will be useful. The Procurement Manager, Enterprise Procurement will foster collaboration, instill drive and motivation to tackle new challenges in a positive manner. The individual will lead by example, bringing a spirit of partnership, collaboration, team empowerment and subject matter expertise to solve proactively for problems that the company may not even have defined yet. The Marketing Category is part of the Enterprise Media & Marketing Procurement team, working as a fully integrated enterprise function with presence in diverse global locations like Chennai, Bangalore, Milan, London, Munich, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy across Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and sourcing expertise in Marketing categories.

  • Proactively develop and execute on sourcing strategies in line with annual Marketing objectives that drive value and strong outputs

  • Lead market facing activities – this includes managing RFPs, negotiating master services agreements, SOWs with favorable commercial and contractual T&Cs

  • Procurement analytics – development of advanced cost models, rate card analysis, spend analysis, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, inhouse vs. outsource decisioning

  • Build partnerships internally with key stakeholders across cross functional teams within Marketing Brand teams, Finance, Legal, and externally with strategic suppliers

  • Educate and enforce compliance to procurement policies and ensure adoption; support continuous improvement efforts

  • Work with Comcast procurement systems and tools to effectively manage projects and report results, outcomes, savings

  • Coordinate and reports procurement plans, activities, and results with key representatives across several departments

  • Interface with key stakeholders and suppliers to manage supplier performance, issues, development of new capabilities; give suppliers feedback on performance, continuous improvement, and innovation; detect performance issues and determine root cause and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive to an efficient resolution

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance; Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Other Objectives

  • Special Projects – Contribute to special projects across the Enterprise Procurement team (supplier diversity, sustainability, metrics implementation, supplier management, supplier Net Promoter Score, process improvements, etc.).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, with 6+ years related experience.

  • Marketing Procurement, Consulting, Telecom/Cable experience

  • Highly proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
