Grade:T23 Summary: The Research in Spatial Cognition (RISC) Lab at Temple University is hiring a full-time research assistant to work 40 hours per weekon Temple's main campus to assist with research and recruitment for spatial reasoning projects. Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Shipley, the individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day lab operations, including research grants administration and accounting, managing IRB protocols, recruitment of study participants, stimuli design and creation, supervision of undergraduate research assistants, and more. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects of their choice with Dr. Shipley. This is a 2-year grant-funded position, starting between February 6th, 2024, and July 30th, 2024. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field and six months of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Research interest in spatial reasoning/cognition and STEM learning. *Research interests in cognitive psychology, neuroscience, or related fields. *Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. *Familiarity with basic statistical tests. Preferred: *Excellent interpersonal, leadership, writing, and organizational skills. *Ability to interact with a diverse population of participants. *Interest in attending graduate school.
