Reference #: 126985-1 The Accessibility Program Manager will work across cross-functional teams across the segment to create a strong organizational culture and capability for delivering accessible products and services as a competitive advantage. Serve as an advocate for users and customers of all abilities. This role will be responsible for establishing, improving, and communicating accessibility policies, procedures, and guidelines in collaboration with product development teams. The manager will also identify ways the business can engage with industry organizations and experts through thought leadership and strategic collaborations.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience 7+ years of experience directly related to Technology, Accessibility, or User Experience At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (mentoring associates, lead analyst, project leaders, etc.)

Experience working collaboratively to develop, maintain, and implement digital accessibility technologies, policies, standards, and best practices Future-thinking, strategic vision that will mature the accessibility program toward greater impact Talent for understanding and explaining technical issues and their implications for projects and business decisions, facilitating discussions and resolution of problems, and mentoring other technology associates Preference will be given to applicants with lived experience of disability, experience working with people with disability and/or a demonstrated personal understanding of disability IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), or other certification is preferred

What will you be doing in this role? Serve as a known source of information and help for cross-functional teams across the segment Develop and communicate accessibility policies, procedures, and guidelines. Connect teams with needed tools and expertise (e.g. certified accessibility specialists, legal advice, training) to ensure they can produce products and services which are accessible. Establish consistency in messaging and help inform responses to customers (in collaboration with product managers and legal team) Track currency of accessibility documentation (VPATs, Audit responses, roadmaps) and maintain a public repository of accessibility statements and documentation Lead the cross-functional Accessibility Council and guide or consult on accessibility initiatives in various workstreams (sales and renewal support, content accessibility, tech support etc.) Help identify key opportunities for process improvements and organize working teams to address. May include working with content providers to push accessibility upstream or working with 3rd party providers and shared vendors to ensure they meet the same standards our products meet. Provide visibility of accessibility priorities and progress on key products to segment leadership. Become a trusted partner for customer groups (e.g. consortia accessibility alliances) and cultivate strategic relationships with industry organizations to help advance our accessibility mission. Track market trends and emerging legislation in various geographies and help develop business and development strategies to respond.

About the Team This role sits in the User Experience Design team for the segment and reports to the VP of User Experience.

Hours of Work Full time, permanent position Hybrid working schedule of 2-3 days/week on site Must live within a commutable distance to one of the following preferred office locations in the US: Alexandria, VA; Ann Arbor, MI, Philadelphia, PA or in the UK: Barcelona, Cambridge, London
