As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. As a Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant will have the following:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
You'll be successful in this position if you have financial reporting systems proficiency
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
Grant accounting experience required
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
