Grant Thornton LLP QA Lead in Phoenix, Arizona

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the testing of software features as part of a collaborative system implementation team.

  • Responsible for leading quality reviews of various applications configurations and includes creating test plans and strategy, test cases in partnership with product configurators, interface developers, and data conversion developers, business analysts and the project manager which are used to shape and verify code and check conformance to system requirements.

  • The role relies upon test automation and manual testing tools.

  • Assist in defining QA coding standards and frameworks, and for identifying emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to client’s business goals.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and evolve formal Test and QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.

  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

  • Act as key point of contact for all Test and QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.

  • Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.

  • Lead the Development and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).

Client and Project Description: The client is a public sector entity that is retrofitting a custom solution from another jurisdiction. They are using a agile development process with multiple sprint teams. The project is planned to cover two years of development activities.

Team Description: The existing Grant Thornton engagement team has 4 local resources and one remote. The team members have been engaged with the client for 2 to 6 years each. The total engagement has approximately 40 team members.
