Job Summary:

The Training and Procedures Lead is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation of training and development programs, as well as performance of training and mentoring to other trainers. Under the supervision of the Training and Procedures Manager, responsibilities include consulting with organizational managers and subject matter experts to determine training needs and priorities; planning the development of new training or revisions of existing programs; establishing and maintaining contact with various education and training sources; updating, tracking and maintaining training information/records. Assist with procedure development, corrections and changes through the procedure process.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the training program to include strategy, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and records.
  • Manage the daily activities associated with the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Provide LMS demonstrations on reporting functions to line management as requested.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable training documents and records in accordance with RMDC requirements.
  • Coordination of training records and activities with other site entities.
  • Organize and develop, or obtain, and update training procedure manuals, guides and course materials in accordance with programmatic requirements.
  • Plan, develop, and implement training and staff development programs and personnel training requirements to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assist line management in the conduct of training needs analysis required by system modifications, procedure revisions, or changes to the Items Relied on For Safety described in the ISA Summary.
  • Assist line management in the scheduling and coordination of initial and continuing training.
  • Support conducting training sessions and provide coordination of the overall schedule of required employee training.
  • Perform training and procedure assessments as assigned.
  • Perform Instructional Technologist (IT) reviews on Performance Based Training (PBT) training modules.
  • Provide support for special projects and maintaining effective communication with the line organization, contractors and subcontractors, and Federal and State Officials (representing the DOE, NRC, DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.) on matters of training compliance.
  • Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
  • Support plant personnel through the procedure process as needed
