Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Ground Transportation Supervisor, the Assistant Ground Transportation Coordinator provides assistance to the commercial arrivals and departures curbs, hold lot and baggage claim level in the terminal to enforce the Authority's ground transportation regulations.

Here is how the Ground Transportation Coordinator will help:     

  • Enforce the Authority's Ground Transportation regulations and procedures;
  • Ensure drivers authorized to operate on the commercial curb are wearing / in possession of their company-issued photo ID tags and presenting company signs;
  • Monitor taxi cabs and other commercial vehicle availability to ensure timely service for passengers;
  • Address ground transportation violations upon incident, files reports for further action;
  • Oversee distribution and return of child car safety devices (car seats) to taxi cab drivers;
  • Monitor the courier parking lot for (un)registered vehicles;
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned or required;

Qualifications

The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Preferred requirements to apply for role of Assistant Ground Transportation Coordinator are:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience in customer service.
  • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.   Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:  

  • Considerable interpersonal skills; tactful, mature, fair and consistent.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Extensive organizational skills and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work shifts and holidays at a 24/7 operation as required or assigned.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook;
