DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Commercial OEM Platform Manager contributes to the success of PPG Automotive Refinish by shaping execution of marketing strategies and tactical deployment plans within the US & Canada. The Commercial OEM Platform Manager works with sales, technical, training, customer service, manufacturing, and distribution groups to develop strategies for the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) segments including Commercial Fleet, Commercial Bus, Fire and Emergency and Recreational Vehicles (RV). You will also manage platform complexities surrounding value creation, product performance, positioning, lifecycle, and customer/marketplace needs. Position location can include Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, or Delaware.

Responsibilities  * Build segment strategy based on understanding of customer needs, industry and competitive dynamics, a focus on sustainability and PPG position. Work with other team members to lead implementation to support the Commercial business strategy.  * Market assessment: improve knowledge-base of market landscape including market as a whole, segmentation of market, opportunities for coatings and allied products, current competitive landscape, and current PPG business and position within the market.  * Industry and competitors: monitor and evaluate industry and competitor developments, marketing actions, products, position, strengths, and weaknesses to anticipate competitor response to Commercial initiatives. Analyze competitors' offerings and position the PPG offerings to succeed.  * SBU coordination: Serve as central point to coordinate with other responsibilities within business to ensure segment strategies/platform plans are regionally performed.  * Create regional execution of product strategy for specific product categories.  * Support regional activities to deliver new product development goals and product life cycle objectives.

Qualifications  * Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, or a technical discipline.  * 5+ years of relevant experience with a background in success.  * Proficiency in gathering and analyzing market intelligence. Assemble and organize multiple sources of market assessment.  * Domestic travel is 35%.  * #LI-Hybrid position  * #Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
