Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Directs the daily activities of the Center for Sleep Disorders. Provides ongoing needs assessments and supervision of staff.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the Sleep Disorder Center. (40%)

  • Assures that all sleep studies are scored and made prepared for physician interpretation. (25%)

  • Ensures compliance, and prepares the department for regulatory agency inspections. (20%)

  • Manages inventory for lab. (10%)

  • Completes staff performance appraisals and annual competencies. (5%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) or Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

  • Four years sleep experience required.

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Graduate of a polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program preferred. Basic ECG course preferred.

  • Two years supervisory experience preferred.
