Reference #: 4427504 THE POSITION Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking hard-working, robust, detailed-oriented social workers for our Office of Children, Youth, and Families (OCYF). DESCRIPTION OF WORK These County Social Worker 2 positions serve as Health Enrollment Coordinators for Allegheny DHS, OCYF, under the manager of placement stability and the supervisor of health enrollment. Responsibilities include providing intensive care management and ensuring agency responsiveness to youth and family needs. Work involves coordination with Pennsylvania local and state Offices of Medical Assistance Programs including physical and behavioral health managed care organizations under Health Choices and private insurers to facilitate health enrollment and continuity of care. Collaboration is also key for working in consultation with the county solicitor and paralegal staff to provide documentation and testimony to inform the health status for case management and permanency planning.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a County Social Worker 1; or Two years of professional social work experience in a public or private social services agency and graduation from an approved graduate school of social work.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
