Carnegie Mellon University Deep Fake Project Intern in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 2021330 The Cybersecurity Foundations team performs research in digital media authenticity. The research examines the generation and detection of synthetic and altered media, such as images, video and audio. The intern will work with SEI staff with research in this area.

The specific project is to integrate and extend the collection of detectors that SEI has developed or acquired. Different sets of detectors use different application frameworks making an integrated application difficult for the user. The intern will develop interface software that will allow the detectors to be integrated and managed from a single application, a user interface that provides a holistic view of the output and time permitting, additional detectors.

Requirements:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree granting program.

Able to work an internship schedule during the summer semester.

Able to come on-site to the SEI Pittsburgh office.

Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Candidates will be subject to a background check.

Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.

Relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

At least 3 semesters of courses requiring substantial programming

Course work (or equivalent experience) in user interface design

Familiarity with systems build around APIs

Ideal candidate would also have:
