THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Lottery is seeking an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory within Allegheny County and surrounding counties. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product guidance and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also use your sales skills to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed. Responsibilities involve navigating a web-based portal, reading and interpreting sales data, and communicating effectively with business owners and customers about the value and details of Lottery products and procedures.

You will have the opportunity to travel across Allegheny County to interact and engage players as well as network with other sales representatives at retailer events. Work Schedule and Additional Information:* *

• Full-time employment
• Work schedule: Monday -- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM most weeks and 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for at least one week per month, with overtime on a limited basis, to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public. 
• Travel: This position is required to travel to cover Allegheny and surrounding counties, driving in all types of weather conditions.
• This position is home headquartered; however, you would be expected to report to the assigned area office on a weekly basis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or 
• Any equivalent experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Additional Requirements: 

• You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.

Relocation to this area is not an option. - You must have four or more years of sales experience. - You must have four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment. - You must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. - You must be available to work the required work schedule 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week.  - You must be able to perform essential job functions.
