REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program

  • High School Degree plus 2 years of experience working in a medical environment

  • Medical terminology knowledge

  • Must have experience in Microsoft programs, specifically Microsoft Office

  • ACT 33/34/73 clearances

  • Pre-employment drug scren

  • Access to a transportation required

WORK SCHEDULE (This is a non-exempt/hourly position)

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with Rotating Tuesday or Wednesday evening 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and 1st and 3rd Saturday mornings 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • We’re looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to be both a clinical and administrative standout in our Medical Center.

  • An average day might include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, coding for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs/medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

  • This position is funded by one or more grants. Because this is a grant-funded position, the position is not eligible for a severance pay at the end of the grant period, under the Trinity Health Severance Pay Plan.

  • This position will work primarily at our location on the Southside of Pittsburgh with some travel to other sites.
