University of Pittsburgh Part-time Lab Instructor Positions in Biology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for up to six part-time Lab Instructor positions for the fall 2024 term, each on a one-term basis, with an anticipated start date of 26 August 2024. These positions are outside of the tenure stream and entail teaching between one and three sections of introductory biology authentic research laboratory courses. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor's degree in biology or a related field with some teaching experience. Preferred qualifications are a Master's degree in Biology or education, the publication of post-graduate research work or a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, formal training in teaching, experience as sole instructor of a laboratory course, and experience teaching an authentic research laboratory course. Teaching evening sections may be needed.
