Oncology Nursing Society Product Sales Representative in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Product Sales Representative will lead the sale of ONS products designed to facilitate and support the mission of promoting excellence in oncology nursing and the transformation of cancer care.  This is a front-line sales role responsible for developing business with healthcare organizations, practices, and oncology care centers and will be responsible for all stages of the entire sales cycle that include prospecting leads, cold calling, qualifying customers, sales calls, and presentations through sale close. This individual is an experienced sales representative selling health technology to networks and healthcare organizations. The sales representative has experience selling products in all aspects of the product lifecycle.

This is a REMOTE (work-from-home) position.  Occasional travel (up to 25%) will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies sales opportunities through cold call outreach to qualify prospective clients.

  • Develops and cultivates relationships within institutions and healthcare organizations.

  • Delivers sales calls both virtually and in-person; engages in conversations to identify client needs and provide product education; conducts group presentations, product demos, and webinars to present products to client decision-makers.

  • Develops and executes sales strategies and plans specific to the client’s needs; provides regular follow-up and correspondence.

  • Responsible for meeting assigned sales quotas and creating a diverse portfolio of clients across institutions, physician practices, and other healthcare organizations.

  • Tracks and maintains all sales-related activity and updates accounts in CRM; provide regular sales and ad-hoc reports accordingly.

  • A willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is required for this position.

    Required Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM software, analytic software, Microsoft Office products, databases, and ticketing systems

  • Strong written and oral presentation skills including answering questions from managers, clients, and customers.

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

  • Understand pricing and value strategy for success in a highly competitive environment.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

  • Experience tracking metrics and meeting established targets.

  • Ability to deliver complex information and modify messaging based on audience.

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field

  • 2 years selling health technology to organizations, hospitals, and hospital systems (5 years preferred).

  • Prior experience selling in the Oncology market is preferred.

    Pay Range

    Oncology Nursing Society uses a market-based approach to pay. Pay rates are established considering the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified periodically based on market analysis.

    Anticipated Pay Range: $70,738 - $82,223 annually.
