Leidos, Inc Research Scientist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Draw on experience with ambient air monitoring analytical instruments, 3D ultrasonic anemometers, Matlab, Python, and dispersion modeling to plan and execute laboratory research and to conduct analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work to support principal scientific researchers engaged in locating and analyzing undocumented orphaned wells, natural gas infrastructure and marginal wells projects.  Observe, calculate, record and interpret the results of tests and analyses; design, construct, modify, calibrate, operate and maintain equipment used for these purposes or devised as a result of the work; develop solutions to complex technical issues; design and execute field campaigns for measuring methane emissions from natural gas infrastructure; analyze data and disseminate results via journal articles and/or national technical conferences; prepare reports and internal presentations for the client.

Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in atmospheric sciences or a related field plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience. Experience must include: Los Gatos UGGA, 3D ultrasonic anemometers, Matlab, Python, and dispersion modeling.
