Google Web Solutions Engineer, gUP in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.

  • 2 years of experience designing and optimizing databases (SQL).

  • 2 years of full stack web application development experience.

  • 2 years of experience with a frontend language such as Typescript or Javascript, and a backend language such as Java, C#, or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with unit testing, agile software development, and bug and change management systems.

  • Experience designing and building maintainable APIs, especially using Protocol Buffers.

  • Experience managing stakeholders and working closely with a team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  • Build full-stack web software in Java, TypeScript, Angular, databases, and REST APIs using Google specific frameworks such as OneStack or Boq. This includes back-end services, data models, and front-end components.

  • Create test plans and unit test cases.

  • Write and review technical documents including design, engineering docs, and collaborative code reviews.

  • Apply agile software techniques to manage delivery timelines and stakeholder expectations.
