JPMorgan Chase Product Investment Strategy, Senior Associate in Plano, Texas

The Commercial Banking Solutions Investment Strategy team owns end-to-end investment portfolio strategic planning on behalf of the Commercial Bank to optimize competitiveness and experience with our offering to clients. The team resides within the Commercial Bank Solutions Chief Financial Officer organization, and its mandate includes the development of clear decision/prioritization frameworks and narratives, driving multi-year planning, advising on business cases, managing stakeholders throughout the process, and bringing transparency (e.g. financial performance, progress versus roadmap, and escalating key issues). This is a high-visibility role, with extensive collaboration required across products, business lines, functions, and executives given the expanse and complexity of the portfolio.

Job responsibilities

  • Support investment strategy development through use of investment prioritization framework, in collaboration with product/sales managers and cross-functional/line of business stakeholders, to enhance investment operating model effectiveness

  • Develop presentations and executive material to analyze and articulate investments, new investment proposals, investment delivery health and return performance

  • Create and deliver robust and insightful reporting that forecasts and articulates performance of our product and solution investments

  • Perform bespoke / ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and diagnose performance of past and on-going investments

  • Partner with Commercial Bank Solutions Planning & Analysis team to assist in technology expense allocations during annual budget cycles; leverage financial reporting and articulate insights and developments / issues

  • Facilitate reviews with Commercial Bank Solutions management team and other stakeholders that highlight progress and issues

  • Effectively manage investments processes and corresponding financials / business cases while maintaining transparent communications with relevant stakeholders; be the go-to team for articulating plans and performance

  • Drive efficiencies and automation to streamline efforts (i.e. utilize strategic data solutions such as QlikSense Dashboards), including working with data engineering groups on requirements

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting (internal / external), Strategic Planning, Corporate Finance, Product Strategy or technology investments

  • BA / BS degree in Finance / Accounting / Analytics

  • Strong problem solving skills, leveraging versatile skillset to identify and recommend ways to address issues with performance, strategy, and organizational effectiveness

  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with ability to analyze large and disparate data sets and synthesize into clear conclusions

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact, influence, and collaborate effectively with all levels of a highly complex organization

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
