We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of IT Advisor within Field Network Rockies department located in Platteville, CO.

A successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the delivery of secure, performant, reliable, and efficient end-to-end network services for Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Automation, Drilling, and any other critical business unit network services in Rockies Business Units.

Duties and responsibilities include: Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority. Act as a technical leader within the field network team providing forward thinking designs, mentorship for junior staff, and participate in forming strategic direction for field network. Responsible for the architecture and overall operations of secure, performant, reliable, and efficient end-to-end network services for ICS, Automation, Drilling, and any other critical business unit network services. Deeply engage with business units to ensure deadlines and objectives are well understood and met. Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of field network projects and the lifecycle including initiating, planning, budgeting, executing, procurement, documentation, closing, and continuous improvement. Set and achieve goals necessary for the optimization of field network focusing on people, processes, and technology. Utilize IT Service Management tools to manage and resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents and request items. Working continuously on a task until completion or escalating to the next level support. Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time. Schedule formal change requests to field network systems for firmware updates, security changes, and other configuration changes. Documentation and knowledge transfer, such as maintaining and providing solution documentation to other team members, IT and business areas, detailing hardware installations, logically storing project files, and cross training. Provide solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies including connectivity issues. Collaborate with IT, managers, and other stakeholders to develop an action plan for improved operations. Prepare written and verbal presentations and reports. Provide management with timely and accurate status reports. Keep customer base informed of changes and issues within the field network environment. 24/7 availability while on-call, including use of a cell phone off hours support and weekend on-call status. Model a strong work ethic and take the lead on a variety of initiatives. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience designing supporting, deploying, or designing networks. Recognized by many peers and managers as results oriented and creative in applying expert technical knowledge across multiple disciplines to solve diverse problems and is able to advise management and peers. Also recognized outside the company as a key SME that is sought out by vendors and peers. Collaborative with peers in learning expert-level knowledge proactively across many disciplines and in emerging fields. Is able to communicate complex knowledge. Collaboration with peers to solve highly complex business and technical problems. Strong strategic influence on team goals. Takes risks by proactively applying opportunities for innovation or emerging technology across multiple disciplines. Mastered the concepts of scope, procurement, time/resource management and can proactively lead complex project work that involve multiple disciplines and customers in senior management and be accountable for the results. Seeks out and successfully participates, collaborates, and advises others on highly complex assigned project work that spans different technical domains that result is projects being consistently delivered on time and within budget. Listens well and is able to communicate effectively with others on complex issues in multiple disciplines. Proactively keeps others informed and asks probing questions to proactively elicit information from others in challenging environments. Resolves conflicts with others outside of his/her team. Understands complex documents and effectively composes and delivers documentation and presentations and strategies on complex subjects spanning multiple disciplines to all audiences.
