Kaiser Permanente Director Procurement Operations in Pleasanton, California
Provides overall management and strategic direction for the end to end procurement operations and payment reconciliation teams within the Supply Chain Department. This role is a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership team responsible for all aspects of supply, service and capital procurement. Is responsible for leading the regions Annual SOX compliance efforts in partnership with other supply chain leadership team members. ) Manages the OneLink financial system to include ongoing module deployments and upgrades that relate to procurement activities; 4) Collaborates with regional and national functions to achieve process standardization and efficiencies within supply chain.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leads end to end procurement operations for the Procurement function.
Examines operational processes, established performance metrics, and develops and implements recommendations for supply chain management performance improvement in partnership with other Supply Chain leadership team members.
Partners with Inventory Operations Manager to implement national and local Supply Chain improvement initiatives.
Leads national effort to implement and maintain OneLink modules and upgrades which impact procurement operations.
Leads national effort to implement and maintain SOX remediation activities which impact procurement operations.
Develops and implements policies, procedures, and training protocols to ensure the integrity of the regional procurement processes.
Develops and maintains a competent, professional staff, supervises and assists staff with meeting and exceeding appropriate and developmental performance goals; and manages performance of staff by providing feedback and developing and implementing development/corrective action plans.
Serves as the primary liaison with the Accounting and Accounts Payable functions to ensure the timely and accurate payment of invoices, and to monitor and report match exception thresholds.
Leads projects related to cost reduction, improved efficiencies, contract and product implementation and support, and overall supply chain management performance improvement.
Meets or exceeds all relevant departmental processing standards, payroll, and non-payroll budget targets.
Collaborates with National Procurement & Supply Teams to identify and share best practices.
Provides coverage in the absence of Supply Chain Leadership team members and the Director.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum twelve (12) years of project management and process improvement experience required.
Minimum five (5) years of end-to-end supply chain experience required (e.g. could include years in supply chain, project management, accounts payable or accounting roles).
Minimum five (5) years of supervisory/management experience required.
Education
Bachelors degree in business administration, operations research, or related field, OR four (4) years additional related equivalent experience.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:
Experience in a multi-facility health care environment.
Demonstrated experience with the implementation of procurement and accounts payable financial systems.
Demonstrated experience communicating with Executive and Senior leaders in a complex organization.
Demonstrated experience with data analytics.
Demonstrated experience with email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Vizio, and PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure while affording top priority to business-critical issues and agreements.
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to gain buy-in from employees not directly under his/her span of control.
Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
Conscientious attitude with an attention to detail.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and report writing skills.
Able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
