NextGen ERP is a large, complex multi-year program crafted to transform the way the electric utility operates. This critical strategic program leverages advanced technology innovations, such as machine learning and business process intelligence capabilities to enable an enterprise-wide future-focused business transformation. This transformation builds the foundation which will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.

This position will be responsible for supporting the NextGen ERP implementation of contract and vendor management activities through the life of the NextGen project. The Contractor Program Management - Senior Advisor must communicate effectively across diverse levels within and outside the organization to help document, guide, and monitor/report on vendor performance.

  • Support management with oversight of vendor contracts including performance monitoring.

  • Develop performance analysis and improvement measures to ensure standards are being met.

  • Support and improve reporting KPIs and score cards to evaluate vendor efficiency.

  • Assist with clearly defining roles and expectations of vendor relationships.

  • Develop good communication patterns with vendors to increase compatibility.

  • Participate in meetings and strategic discussions with Principal Managers and Director.

  • Prepare executive level presentations in support of management communications.

  • Presenting optimally in a matrix organization while ensuring timely delivery of inputs, validation of data, assumptions, and reporting.

  • Assist with resolution of disputes and/or claims pertaining to contract language.

  • Seek out innovative solutions to complex issues of a sophisticated cross-functional, multiple vendor landscape.

The essentials

  • 10 or more years of proven track record in the field of business, engineering, contract management, strategy/project management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proficient in SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft tools.

  • Experience in contract management or sourcing field of work.

  • Advance presentation development skills supporting management review.

  • Experience in developing, managing, and measuring strategies, projects, and initiatives.

  • Experience in maintaining project oversight, and assessing operational, business, and technical deficiencies.

  • Experience performing full-cycle ad-hoc request including identifying client needs, capturing relevant information from appropriate partners, and presenting information clearly and optimally to management.

  • Experience advising and recommending courses of action on process improvements.

  • Experience developing and engaging in discussions with a variety of audiences and levels across the Company, including effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership, ethics, communication and influence skills to build consensus with stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships with client organizations and senior leadership, as well as ability to effectively lead stress and engage in constantly evolving environment.

  • This position’s work mode is  hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.
