Atlantic Health System Patient Care Technician I, Per Diem, 4 East in Pompton Plains, New Jersey
The essential functions of this position includes; assisting patients with activities of daily living; obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights; assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities; performing post mortem care; measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring; observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN; maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned. Ensure patient needs and expectations are met in a timely manner.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center.
Current HCP BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience. (preferred)
