Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center co-located within 20 locations. Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to Director, Dental Services, the full-time, non-exempt Registered Dental Hygienist (Sealant Program) is an essential member of a high-performing dental team providing direct services for the Sealant Program. This position may include support in the care and treatment of adult and pediatric patients within the dental office as well. The Registered Dental Hygienist will provide direct provision of oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to children who are part of the SEAL! Michigan program.  The Registered Dental Hygienist (Sealant Program) is responsible for providing appropriate oral health education including the development of materials, sealant application, equipment maintenance, supply ordering, grant reporting, and tracking of all services rendered.  In addition, the Registered Dental Hygienist (Sealant Program) contacts community partners and engages school systems to promote the sealant program and services.  Works collaboratively with the team to create and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing compassionate and high-quality dental care to residents and the community.

What are we looking for?

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene required

  • A minimum of two or more years in a registered dental hygienist position. 

  • Strong computer skills and experience working in a dental care environment.

  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Michigan. 

  • Current CPR (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

  • Must have a valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record. 

  • Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide certification preferred. 

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
