United States Fleet Forces Command ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in Port Hueneme, California

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the MEDICAL DEPARTMENT of CDR NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will utilize various automation systems and software packages (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and shared storage such as SkyDrive and SharePoint Portal. You will advise the lead Mental Health Provider on the practical and technical aspects of office administration. You will create and revise routine correspondence, memorandum, letters, forms, technical reports, records, and statistical data. You will gather and code information from patient records and other written source material. You will enter information in databases including use of specified medical coding terminology. You will schedule and make arrangements for meetings. You will monitor patient flow. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Special experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of the missions and functions of a Psychological Health Team (PHT) and its relationship to various administrative services. Experience utilizing office automation software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, Access, etc.) to support office operations and create, enter, manipulate, and retrieve narrative and statistical reports, spreadsheets, databases, graphs, project plans, and correspondence. Experience creating formal correspondence, memorandums, letters, forms and technical reports in accordance with naval directives, policies, and standard operating procedures. Experience applying knowledge of medical and mental health terminology and procedures to interpret clinician notes, codes, maintain databases and support other staff requirement. Experience maintaining patient flow in a clinic setting.
