Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Portage, Indiana

Description:

-Responsible for performing maintenance on converting and paper machines (make cardboard boxes). They have 10 converting and corrugating machines in the plant. Will also troubleshoot conveyors and printing presses.

-Replace and rewire, AC/DC motors from 480 V to 2140V

-Change gear boxes and bearings

-Repair hydraulics systems, change filters and fluids, repair brake system

-MIG weld on steel material

-Troubleshoot drives and Siemen's PLC's

-Fabricate parts using drill presses and torches

-Order parts and receive work orders through CMMS

Qualifications:

-Electrical knowledge up to 480V 3 Phase with 24V Circuitry as well

-Mechanical work with industrial bearings, conveyors, or automated equipment

-Read Schematics

-Troubleshooting of automated equipment

-High School Diploma or GED

-Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in the maintenance field

-Must have own tools

-PLC Knowledge-reading inputs/outputs
