What you will do:

As the Division Strategy and Market Insights Associate Manager, you will plan and execute market research activities for the Instruments Division while coordinating Global market research activities that align with Division priorities. You will be accountable for acute and recurring secondary market research, market sizing, competitive surveillance, market share tracking, finding/analyzing/providing access to market reports and databases, maintaining Division source of truth database, and coordinating with Division finance for long-range financial planning. Be a partner with business units (BU) to align cross-BU and cross divisional sources of truth, ensure data vendor consistency and consolidation, source recurring third-party data needs, assist with strategic planning process, and draw meaningful insights from results.

  • Lead secondary market research efforts for recurring annual business unit needs and new/adjacent whitespace market segments.

  • Utilize quantitative skills to mine available data sources as well as qualitative reasoning to research and understand potential new markets for Stryker Instruments.

  • Lead the prioritization and execution of Global market insights needs, coordinating and aligning key regional stakeholders.

  • Partner with Division Strategy leader for the creation of Division strategic plan

  • Find, analyze, and provide access to market reports, databases.

  • Provide support for ad hoc business development market analysis.

  • Manage third-party vendor relationships with a focus on consistency, redundancy, and consolidation.

  • Manage annual Factbase market sizing initiative.

  • Coordinate Factbase roll-up and collaborate with Division Finance to enable long range financial plan alignment.

  • Create and manage Division source of truth database while ensuring alignment with cross-BU and cross-divisional stakeholders.

  • Use visual storytelling to communicate complex results in simple ways to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Create and distribute regular communications of market insights to broad set of stakeholders across business units and Division.

  • Manage Instruments Division Strategy and Market Insights resource repositories.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 6+ years of work experience required.

• 3+ years market research experience preferred.

• Experience independently researching unfamiliar concepts and synthesizing findings.

• Familiarity with large data sets and advanced skills in Excel required. Power BI experience preferred.

• Experience building visual representations of complex ideas and using storytelling skills to communicate.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to successfully navigate a matrix organization.

• Demonstrated skills in project management.
