Actalent is hiring a Civil Land Development Designer or Engineer to work with a growing team ! This firm works exclusively in Civil 3D and is a great opportunity hone this skillset.

Description:

Seeking civil land development designer (EIT) or engineer (PE) with 3 years' experience in road grading, corridors, lot grading, utility networks, storm drainage and water reports, pipe networks and erosion control in commercial, healthcare, k-12, institutional, or residential subdivision or multifamily project type. Firm works exclusively in Civil 3D and candidate should have experience in above job duties in Civil 3d. Experience will be validated during interview process with in depth discussions on how to perform above job duties within Civil 3D.

Designer or engineer will also assist existing firm engineers in developing preliminary plans during land use planning stage for purposes of land use and planning applications with various municipalities in Portland Metro area, with majority of work taking place in Washington County. Candidate will gain exposure to land use and planning codes and previous experience in those areas are a bonus, but not required.

Majority of work is in residential subdivision civil design from 1 to 2 lot divisions up to 100-200 lot subdivisions.

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated progress towards obtaining PE and already have obtained EIT.

Firm is made up of a collaborative team with a flat structure. Project teams are typically made up of 2-3 people and ideal candidate must have desire to work closely with peers and put forth and defend design ideas. Extroverted nature is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

EIT required, civil engineering degree required, demonstrated progress toward obtaining PE required. Candidate must have experience in civil design/engineering in land development (as opposed to structural, transportation, or bridge).

Work Environment

5 days in office and flexible on working from home due to extenuating circumstances

17 employees in spacious office with room to spread out

8 am to 5 pm with at least 30 minutes taken for lunch in 12:00 pm hour.

Will have periods where work will extend past 5 pm, overtime is not paid.
