Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) is looking for an Associate and Experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join BP Quality team in Portland, OR.

This position will use data analysis and stakeholder input to focus continuous improvement efforts on the problems that are causing gaps in our QMS and Quality performance targets. Utilizing lean principles and process improvement methodologies, this role will work closely with our quality inspectors, production teammates, and support teams to solve issues related to our QMS and improve Quality Key Performance Indicators. The ideal candidate will have experience in Lean manufacturing methodologies, as well as a strong background in process improvement. Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver performance metrics and generate regular reports and presentations on Quality metrics to support decision-making processes.

  • Analyze nonconformance reports using statistical methods and analytical techniques to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.

  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems.

  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation.

  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.

  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.

  • Maintains databases and data systems necessary for Quality analysis.

  • Ensures Quality processes, work, and records adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in Data Analytics (collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data) and Data Visualization (e.g. Tableau or Cognos dashboards).

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications and advanced Excel knowledge.

  • 1+ years of experience in database management, MS Access and/or SQL preferred.

  • 1+ years of experience in collecting, interpreting data, and managing high level projects for management.

  • 1+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a changing environment.

  • Able to prioritize tasks and good with time management.

  • Experience with Programming/Coding (VBA preferred).

  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.

  • Experience developing reports and presentations for executive leadership.

  • Skill at defining and prioritizing critical requirements.

  • Experience resolving issues and developing solutions to summarize and convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Associate: $72,250 - $97,750

Summary pay range for Experienced: $86,700 - $117,300
