Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Potomac, Maryland. The selected candidate will work in-office and will use Salesforce and other accounting software systems to perform their duties. This role is primarily focused on handling accounts payable tasks and requires excellent data entry skills.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions.

• Handle accounts payable tasks, including check processing and dealing with any discrepancies.

• Maintain and update accounting records, ensuring high levels of accuracy.

• Use Salesforce to manage customer information and perform related tasks.

• Provide support in data entry tasks, ensuring all information is correctly input into the system.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus • Solid understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Experience in Check Processing • Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently • Skills in identifying and resolving Discrepancies in financial records.
