Are you an experienced generalist Tax Manager looking for a new opportunity? Our Global Strategic Tax & Customs team is the tax organization with overall accountability for taxes all over the world including customs, indirect tax, etc. Within this global function there are 5 functions – a Business Advisory function, a Tax Policy & Controversy function, a Planning & Structuring function and a Tax Governance function, and Projects & Performance Function. Tax Operations & Compliance are handled in a separate tax team as part of our shared service center.

Core responsibilities

• Support general tasks which cover all functional areas, such as indirect tax, environmental tax, direct tax and transfer pricing support.

• Support in responding to tax audits and various queries from tax authorities across Eastern Europe region.

• Work with other Business Advisory team members to mitigate risks for the region.

• Support in monitoring law changes of relevance to The LEGO Group, and entering the same with sufficient level of detail in the internal law tracker.

• Evaluate and advise on the tax impact for projects and ad hoc advisories in the business related to both the Eastern Europe sales/distribution business as well as manufacturing activities.

• Support the implementation of new e-invoicing/SAF-T requirements and additional escalation point of contact for Tax Operations team

• There will be some travel required to support audits

Do you have what it takes?

• Chartered Accountant/Tax Advisor or equivalent.

• Extensive validated experience in Tax. The role is a generalist role covering all taxes.

• Accounting Firm or Law Firm experience is relevant;

• In-house experience in a private company is preferred

• Able to adapt to the new way of working environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• SAP knowledge preferred but not crucial
