Job Summary:

The Compliance Assurance Analyst will be responsible for leading and executing complex audits on a variety of systems, applications, processes, key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to support best in class compliance standards for NRG Retail brands. This role will also be expected to identify cost efficiencies, process improvements and changes to promote an outstanding customer experience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • .Create the scope and objective of an audit plan with leadership, gathering preliminary data and coordinating with cross-functional departments to set and track to deliverables

  • Meticulously review the information gathered across multiple platforms, flagging areas of non-compliance against the rules and regulations as determined by the Electric and Gas Retail regulatory bodies

  • Identify weaknesses and opportunities in the current environment, providing recommendations for corrective action

  • Work with analysts to capture and create process documentation, creating standardized templates

  • Compile all audit findings, and formulate solutions into an executable document to present to Regulatory, Legal, Functional Owners and leadership for discussion and approval

  • Leverage Lean and Six Sigma principals to identify ways to eliminate waste and optimize processes

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout processes

  • Build and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the Regulatory and Legal teams to ensure proper understanding and interpretation of state regulations

  • Maintain metrics, communicating and tracking the progress of audits and audit results

  • Provide status updates on individual deliverables and KPI targets on a weekly and monthly basis

  • Support tracking progress on aged gaps and coordinate with process owners to organize conversations, follow up on outstanding tasks, gather resolution details and QA evidence

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Remote

  • Travel minimal

  • Standard 8-5, Monday – Friday, working hours expected

  • Availability outside of normal working hours may be necessary and is dependent on business needs

  • Reliable internet is required

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 3+ years of retail energy (Electric and Gas) experience,

  • 2+ years of project management or business analyst experience or,

  • 2+ years of auditing experience and,

  • 3+ years of leveraging Microsoft tools such as Excel, Macro’s, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio

  • 2+ years using Microsoft SQL Server or Power BI, with the ability to read/write script or build visuals

  • Rapidly assimilate to numerous systems and applications

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically in front of a computer, sitting and standing as desired, using standard computer equipment

The salary range for this role is $62,000 - $84,000. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
