Required Skills:

Security Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Identify, build, and configure security systems to protect infrastructure.

2. Identify and analyze threats that aim to collect sensitive information or disrupt business.

3. Analyze malware and develop new signatures or methodologies to track activity and drive rapid deployment of countermeasures.

4. Assess the security of the core infrastructure and take a hands-on role in building solutions.

5. Make threat intelligence actionable by integrating it with existing or novel detection capabilities.

6. Define configuration standards for system and network devices to harden them against attacks.

7. Work with members of IT, Operations, and Security teams to harden the infrastructure against attack.

8. Consult on new infrastructure projects or architecture changes and evaluate security needs.

9. Communicate cross-functionally and effectively in one-on-one and group settings to explain complex security requirements to non-security individuals.

10. Assist with technical investigation, enforcement, and engineering efforts toward predictable high quality execution.

11. Review case reports and code.

12. Act as a subject matter expert and assist with technical security strategy.

13. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

14. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Security Informatics, or related field and 24 months of experience in job offered or related occupation. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires 24 months of experience in the following:

15. 1. Hardware security and applied hardware attacks on embedded and IoT systems
16. 2. Supply chain-based attacks on Field Programmable Gated Arrays (FPGA)
17. 3. Understanding and addressing cyber threats
18. 4. Providing software assurance, security, and privacy-reserved computing
19. 5. Implementing and developing secure mobile applications and APIs
20. 6. Developing operating systems, software and hardware architecture of embedded devices and window machines and
21. 7. Programming in Verilog.

Public Compensation:

$226,210/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
