Cargill Reliability and Capital Excellence Lead in Pulilan, Philippines

Job Purpose and Impact

The Reliability and Capital Excellence Lead will provide technical leadership and expertise to drive continuous improvement in process and asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects and focus on the planning of the repair and maintenance of our production equipment, machinery or instruments. In this role, you will optimize the availability and productivity of our manufacturing facilities and equipment, perform engineering review, coordinate repair work and participate in the commissioning and installation of new equipment and provide guidance to a team that provides technical knowledge to deliver the optimization of equipment maintenance and technical aspects of reliability engineering strategies.

Key Accountabilities

RELIABILITY EXCELLENCE

  • Lead the strategic development of asset reliability centered maintenance applications and ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability and performance are met in production processes.

  • Promote and execute the identification and elimination of bad actors and the optimization of equipment availability including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications..

  • Perform engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance and availability of replacement parts and apply predictive maintenance program and technology application to identify and eliminate defects.

  • Develop and apply specific lubrication program to ensure refinement and partner with production in reliability related dent remediation strategies and efforts.

  • Participate in technical reviews of projects and collaborate with related areas on new equipment reliability specifications and coordinate with production staff to plan and prioritize repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant equipment with production schedules.

  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to maintenance, repair and operations stores processes and the identification of critical spares.

  • Research the impact the organization's activities have on the environment.

  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

CAPITAL EXCELLENCE

  • Integrate and apply aspects of capital excellence into build projects.

  • Assess build project performance of specialized capital excellence aspects and identify gaps and practical solutions and implement performance improvements.

  • Identify opportunities and gaps in required levels of specific capital excellence knowledge.

  • Support providing capital excellence training to project teams and local talent.

  • Partner with cross functional regional leaders to leverage resources, knowledge and strategies that increase value captured throughout the portfolio of capital projects.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

  • Lean six sigma

  • Knowledge and application of safety principles and methodologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lean six sigma

  • Knowledge of safety principles and methodologies

  • Two years of supervisory experience

  • Oversee Build project performance goals and metrics, identify gaps and solutions and lead implementation of performance improvements.

  • Identify talent gaps and create plans both in person and virtually to close gaps.
